I got a call from the owner of Elements Corner Cafe in Helena about photographing his 15-month-old grandson who was in town visiting. He and I had talked about this several months ago since I frequent their delicious restaurant! (If you guys are in the Helena area- you’ve GOT to check them out! Tell ‘em I sent ya!)

I was so happy to get that phone call and we set up a meeting for this morning- bright and early. Mr. C wasn’t too keen on the idea of being up super early but in no time he warmed right up!

Their niece was also in town visiting so I got a few shots of her as well- isn’t she gorgeous?!  I told her mom she’s going to have it rough soon with all of those boys coming after her!  :)

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to post the color or black-n-white so I’ll just post both and let you decide which is your favorite!

This morning I got to photograph this precious 6-day-old baby girl who is the daughter of one of my friends from high school!  Through the powers of Facebook she and I reunited just a few short months ago!  Gosh, I love that site.  I have found so many old friends on there and many of them live right here near me!!

Little Miss A is so completely perfect and her parents are so in love already!  Can you blame them?  Look at this sweetie…

This morning was mini-session morning!  Being out there early enough made it not so dreadfully hot for all parties involved.  :)

Wow- what a busy day it has been!  I got to do a shoot for an awesome new clothing line- Nest Couture.  These ladies who started the company are no strangers to this industry and they have worked with many fabulous people along their journey.  It is such an honor to be able to work with them- and heck, for them to choose ME to be their photographer!  Some of the names of photographers they’ve used in the past- I just feel like I don’t belong in the same sentence with them.  Truly an honor.

We have been planning this day for quite awhile and I’m so so glad the weather was nice for us ALL day long!  We started bright and early this morning shooting, took an afternoon break and went back at it full-steam this early evening. (and one more round tomorrow morning)  I do have to say the little models were fabulous!  Ok, we had a few pouts but other than that they did so wonderful!

I am also proud to say that my Hannah got to be a model for the line as well.  That made my day.  :)

This morning I got to photograph Mr. B who is 5 weeks old- so not technically a newborn but still a tiny little thing!  He definitely gave us a run for our money but I think we got some cute shots regardless!!

and we *finally* got him to sleep- if only for a bit- and I was able to get some super adorable shots complete with a great handmade afghan that was given to him.

and yes, he is sticking his tongue out at me!  Silly boy!

Commenter #32- Isabelle!  I do have to say- I am going to thoroughly enjoy doing the newborn session for you all!  We will definitely have to get some awesome, awesome father/daughter shots for him to keep in his pocket while away.  Can’t wait to meet you all!
