Today is a very special day for this family. One year ago today little Miss Sarah made her arrival into the world 13 weeks early weighing less than 2 pounds. One year ago she was fighting for her little life and today she is a spunky, precious one year old. I was so glad to get to spend the morning of her birthday with her and document this amazing day.
I first met Sarah in the NICU shortly after she was born and then photographed her again when she was four months old and finally was able to go home!
And now… her first birthday
Her mom made this little doll which is representative of the size Sarah was when she was born… of course, Sarah liked to kiss it and try to eat it. ;)
and then it was on to some smash cake fun! She smashed…

and throughly enjoyed every last bite
