Welcome to my blog! My name is Stephanie Fisher and I am a natural light photographer based in the Birmingham, Alabama area. I do on location sessions as well as studio sessions in my natural light studio located in Alabaster.

I try to keep this blog updated with both session sneak peeks, studio news as well as a little place to document my personal little world. I am positive you will hear stories of my soon-to-be-4 year old little girl quite often. :)

I am sure some would say that my style is a bit different (well, a lot different) than your standard portrait studio. I like for everyone to feel relaxed and just have fun! It is in those moments where my best work takes place.

{sneak peek} Birmingham, alabama party photographer

I had the fun opportunity to photograph a “gender reveal” party recently and just had to share a peek into the night!

What exactly is a “gender reveal” party you ask? It’s funny because I posted about it on Facebook and some people said they had to do a double take at the title. When couples find out the gender of their baby at the 20-ish-week ultrasound- this is the newest way to announce (and find out!) what you’re having! They did not find out the gender at their ultrasound, rather had the tech put the ultrasound results in an envelope. Said envelope was then delivered to a baker who put either pink or blue layers into the cake. Then at the party, the couple cut into the cake and it revealed either boy or girl! Which was it?! Find out below!

The grandmother-to-be could not be there so they called her via Facetime on their iPhone so she could watch along with everyone. How awesome is that?!?! I love the following series… check out the reactions in the background including a rockin’ high five. I think they are definitely happy with the results!
