A cold and foggy morning turned bright and sunny by mid-morning… just in time for our session! I can’t believe this little one is already 7 months old and sitting up. I’ve said it a million times but I just can’t get over how quickly these little ones grow up!

We didn’t let the stormy weather get the best of us today- we spent the morning with a beautiful 17-day-old baby girl, her mom and 3 big sisters. :) Miss A wasn’t due to arrive until Christmas Day, but she had other plans. She surely didn’t want to miss Santa’s visit!

Weighing in at just a bit over 6 pounds, she is just the cutest, tiniest little thing.

So wonderful to meet you girls this morning! Congrats again on your sweet new little one and new little sister. -Stephanie

What a way to start our week! We had a precious and tiny 5 lb baby girl and her family at the studio this morning. Her big sister used to take ballet with Hannah so it was so great to see a familiar face! I’m so glad they remembered me and emailed to set up a session as they prepared for the arrival of their sweet new baby girl. Congrats M Family!! So wonderful to see you all. -Stephanie

It’s been busy busy busy at the studio! Holiday season is definitely keeping us on our toes! We have tons of boxes full of goodies from gorgeous portraits to holiday cards coming in each day. (and a huge-ever-growing-pile of empty boxes to prove it!)

Just had to share one from this morning- we turned the studio into a winter wonderland for our morning sessions. Here’s the sweet C twins at almost 6 months old. :)

I had the wonderful experience to photograph the birth of one of our best friends’ new baby girl this morning. I am amazed at each and every birth that I photograph and today was definitely no different. This family means the world to us and their older daughter is one of Hannah’s best friends.

The birth was also QUICK!! I was doing a little bit of work this morning before heading to the hospital thinking that, as with most births, it can go a little slow. She had just gone in a couple of hours earlier for an induction. Yes, I should know by now that that is not always the case… and it was definitely not the case today that’s for sure! I got a text from J at 10 a.m. saying “I’m at 8cm and water broke!” I immediately threw on some clothes, grabbed my camera bag and ran out the door. Luckily Shelby Baptist is only a half mile from my house so I was there promptly at 10:15. After snapping just a few shots J was checked by the nurse who said it was time to start pushing! Yes, it was 10:24 at this point- 9 minutes after I arrived! Ten minutes after that the doctor was called in and then at 10:47 Gracie Lyn was here! What a fast, easy birth it was and I am SO glad I got there in time!

Here’s a few peeks into their morning with the arrival of Miss Gracie Lyn- 7 lbs 13 oz.

Yesterday evening we met up at our gorgeous field to photograph this family. It was so. much. fun! I just love fun and relaxed outdoor sessions- we can really let the kiddos play and explore and let their little personalities come out. :)
