It’s my anniversary and birthday!

Ok, so the month of May flew by and before I knew it- it’s already June!!! May marked my 4 year anniversary in my professional photography journey. I am so incredibly grateful to all of the wonderful families who have let me be a part of their lives these past 4 years. It has been nothing short of amazing.

I wanted to do my annual anniversary sale but now here it is June… but guess what? June is my birthday month!!! So not only am I going to have a huge canvas sale- we’re also going to have a SUMMER session sale- how’s that sound? :)

I have been nominated to be a 2012 “A Picture of Health” calendar girl! Mandy and I attended the Birmingham Bombshells event last year and had so much fun. I can’t believe now I could be in there myself!

Ovarian Cancer Information: Many people do not realize this, but ovarian cancer does not have an early detection exam. Repeat: there is not a test to detect ovarian cancer. Your pap smear does not detect this disease!! The signs & symptoms are incredibly vague with this disease, such as: bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, difficulty eating, and urinary symptoms (urgency & frequency). These symptoms are usually overlooked or misdiagnosed sadly.

Now I need your help to reach my donations goal! All funds go to Ovarian Cancer Research- such a wonderful cause. catching up!

Ok, I’m terribly behind. I’ve done so good this year to keep up to speed but the holiday season is now in full swing and I am, well, behind. Horribly behind! I have several sneak peeks to post… sessions to proof… and I’m sick and had to go to the doctor this afternoon to add to things! (My bi-annual sinus infection to ring in the changing of the seasons!)

A little news- I have been in Seaside the past few days and came back yesterday evening to attend the Heart Gallery gala at the Birmingham Museum of Art where I was awarded the 2010 Photographer of the Year for Heart Gallery Alabama! It was such an honor to receive the award and even more amazing to hear that over 80% of the children that I have photographed have been adopted and found their forever homes. Amazing.

I will be caught up soon on sneak peeks… hopefully tomorrow I will feel MUCH better! Let’s hope so because we still have 18 sessions to go this week!! :)

newborn mentoring

We have been asked numerous times if we offer newborn posing mentoring/workshops. After much consideration, we are happy to announce that we will be offering a very limited number of one-on-one newborn mentoring sessions for those outside of a 150-mile-radius of zip 35007. The one day one-on-one mentoring session will include details on setting up, a newborn shoot and some photoshop chat/Q&A. The cost is $800.
